Rachel’s inspirations come from her own experiences, centering on her close family, and friends. She discovered her artistic ability during her early childhood and constantly drew imaginary images in her sketchbooks. These elaborately developed sketches made Rachel realize that she loved to draw clothes (and dresses in particular) at a very young age.

While designing clothing, Rachel’s main inspirations come primarily from the fabrics she chooses. She is constantly drawn to fabrics with interesting patterns, textures, and colors. Her favorite aspect of design is the successful integration of unique fabrics into classic feminine designs.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys painting with oil and gouache. Most of her paintings are strictly for fun and end up becoming gifts for family members. Many of her painting techniques and compositions are inspired by the Pennsylvania Dutch country paintings that have surrounded her throughout her life.

Rachel is excited about the future as she launches her new clothing company and accessories line under her own label. She is optimistic that her background and experience will enable her to produce high quality apparel designs that will enhance beauty and confidence for the women who wear them during the many special occasions in life.
